- Grades 6-8
- Art
- Music
- Spanish
- Latin
Syllabus (course outlines) for the above Classes and Homerooms may be accessed by selecting the above links.
Please note.
Debate on the use of the word syllabus (plural) for course outlines continues. In our case, we choose to use syllabus as opposed to "syllabi" because syllabus would belong to the 4th declension (not second) in Latin, and therefore the plural ending would be "us" ending, not "i". There are, however, enough examples in literature and reputable sources where the author has chosen to use "syllabi" in this context, so I believe either could be considered correct. Language is a moving target, but as we teach Latin at our school, we prefer the "classic" usage. Other spellings include syllabuses.
| “Most teachers waste their time by asking questions that are intended to discover what a pupil does not know, whereas the true art of questioning is to discover what the pupil does know or is capable of knowing.” |
