Thank you for your interest in The Academy at Ocean Reef. The Academy offers a program that inspires and challenges the students. The school's academic and fine arts programs set the standards high in the classroom, on the stage, and in front of the camera. The expectations for student achievement are encouraged; not only by the teachers, but the entire school community.

The Academy at Ocean Reef is an independent, nonprofit coeducational day school for students in grades preschool through eighth. The school is located within the gates of the beautiful Ocean Reef Club® in Key Largo, Florida, providing a safe and secure campus environment.

The Academy also offers a Seasonal Program which allows the children and grandchildren of members to spend time at Ocean Reef while keeping up with their studies in their home school. The students can attend The Academy for a minimum of one week or several months throughout the school year. The students may work with their home school's curriculum, or in The Academy's curriculum.

The students in grades sixth through eighth work in a virtual classroom. A teacher/facilitator in the classroom teaches part of the academic curriculum, as well as closely supervising the students while they work on the remainder of their course work on-line. The students are able to work on-line at their own pace set up by the on-line teacher and student. The students also go on curriculum related class trips and participate in the school's fine arts and extracurricular programs.
