After School Programs
EXTENDED DAY PROGRAMS
The Academy’s Extended Day Program (3:15-5:30 PM) provides students with a safe, nurturing and supportive environment that balances group and individual activities.
After School Sports: Our "life sports" programs for grades 5-8 include Golf, Tennis, Sailing, Swimming, Karate, Yoga, and Dance. The school currently provides professional instruction (included in tuition) for "full time" students in grades 5-8. First semester includes golf, tennis, and karate--one day per week each from 3:30-4:30.
Extended Care: Extended care is a free after school program available for our early learners from PK through 1st Grade. After school dismissal, these students are excused to the care of one teacher for a multi-level play program. Depending on the mood of the group and preference of the teacher students may have an active play period outside or participate in game activities in a classroom.
Study Period: Study period (3:15-4:00 pm) is a free after school program for elementary and middle school students. After dismissal, these students depart for the library where they spend 45 minutes getting a jump on the assigned homework. During this time students may also be called for extra-help by their homeroom teacher.
After Care: After Care (4:00 - 5:30) begins after extended care and Study Period and costs an additional fee. For $15/day parents may schedule supervised care for their children. Children usually play games in our multi-purpose gym or play on the playground. During this time students will also have a snack and may watch a movie or play on the ipads in the library.
